COYIDA Goat Project
Community Youth in Development Activities (COYIDA) is a local charitable organization registered under the trustee’s incorporation act of Malawi. COYIDA is further recognized by the council for Non-Governmental Organizations in Malawi and the National Youth Council of Malawi. Malawi is located east of Zambia in Southern Africa and became an independent nation in 1964.

COYIDA plans to purchase 50 female goats and 6 male goats at $60 each and distribute them among 50 of the most needy. Male goats will be kept at a strategic place to ensure that all beneficiaries will have access. Each recipient will be trained in the use and care of their goat. Training is projected to cost $11 for each goat. This project will boost the economic status of COYIDA's targeted constituents (the poorest).

COYIDA is a youth focused organization aimed at ensuring a youth-community responsible enough to contribute towards development of the communities and country at large. In pursuing this, COYIDA has the following four programmatic areas; Food security, Water and Sanitation, Gender Based violence and Child Abuse, and HIV and AIDS as a cross cutting issue, principled to benefit the poor of the poorest, COYIDA works in rural areas.
