Is my donation tax deductible?

Donations are now tax deductible in the United States. We have been formally recognized as a 501(c)3 and will send you a tax receipt as a record of your donation.


How do I donate?

Just click on our donation button and fill out our donor form. This form connects you to our paypal credit card processing or to the mailing address for ChooseAneed if you prefer to send a check. We prefer, that larger donations (greater than 1,000 dollars) be in the form of checks as the credit card processing takes out a percentage of all transactions. Thanks for your interest in choosing a need.


How much of my donation goes to the actual project?

Absolutely 100% of the money you give for a need goes to the need. No money is taken out for administrative costs. Expenses associated with the need are either raised separately or in many cases paid for by money others have given specifically towards the administration costs of ChooseAneed.


How do I know when the need is funded and my money has been disbursed?

When a project is fully funded we will update the website to reflect this. When the project report is complete we will move it to the success stories portion of the web site.

Can I submit a need to be posted on the ChooseAneed website?

You are welcome to use our contact page to submit your idea. Please keep in mind that we have very specific criteria regarding projects we support. If you are interested in submitting a project we suggest that you briefly tell us about it using the contact form on our web page. One of the board members will review your comments and send you a formal application and guidelines if it looks like the type of project we might be able to help you with.

Is this a Christian Project?

In many ways this is a Christian project, at least for most of those involved. However, we firmly believe that even if you are not a Christian you CAN and SHOULD be involved. Helping others in need is not by any means an exclusively Christian ideal and we hope that you will consider helping others for your own personal reasons whether they are humanitarian, secular, or religious. We support the work of Christian and non-christian organizations alike.

Do you share my contact information with others? What is your privacy policy?

We absolutely do not share or sell any of our donors information to anyone or any organization. We also feel that privacy is important and becoming more rare in this technological world. The only data we collect about our web site visitors is that which you choose to trust us with when you fill out one of our forms and hit submit.

Can I donate just a small amount or do I have to fully fund a need?

Yes! You may donate any amount you like. This is why we have the status bars, several people can help with one need and we can all see how close we are to meeting the need.
